Boy how things can change in an instant. For many reasons Justin and I have decided to stay near San Antonio. It just doesn’t make since to move across the state, with a child on the way, and not having any family near us. The fact that I would be so close to Hailey is the only thing that I am disappointed in. I liked the thought of only having to drive minutes to get her versus hours. This is what we both feel is for the best. I am 15 weeks, 16 weeks on Friday. Justin has some issues to work out on his own and being here close to his family is what is best.
He is looking into working at the HEB Plus in Boerne; he has a couple of family friends that work for the company. As soon as his job and school facility are in place we are going to look for a place of our own. The sooner, the better of course. I miss having our privacy. I had to cancel my doctor’s appointment this past Tuesday and rescheduled it for this coming Tuesday, the 17th at 11:00am. We are so close to finding out the sex of the baby. A couple of people have told me that they swear by the Chinese Conception Chart. According to that I am having a boy, which I have thought all along. Justin still insists that he can’t have boys, only girls, so he is sticking with that hypothesis.
We went to my grandmother’s 95th birthday party on Saturday. There were probably over 50 people there celebrating with her. Justin met most of my family for the first time and was surprised to see that not every member is crazy. It was my grandmother’s 95th birthday party, but it felt a lot like a reunion as well. The family hasn’t gotten together like that in a very long time. Granny should turn 95 more often!
On Sunday we had a little celebration for our wedding. It was small, but fun and included an AR-15 and a canon. My grandpa even shot a round of 30. There was cake, ammo, toasts, and beer. We put a different meaning the term “shot gun wedding.” That’s just how things are done out in Pipe Creek, Texas.
So all in all we had quite a busy weekend. That’s all I have for now.
Till next time!
